Mass media and communication - Première S
In Première S, the theme Mass media and communication helps you talk about the press, television, radio and social networks in English. In Madagascar, news travels through the radio (radio), newspapers like in Antananarivo, and more and more through Facebook on the phone. To report news clearly, English often uses the passive voice, because the action matters more than who does it.
Ravo, a student in Antsirabe, reads a headline: "A new bridge is being built near the lake." Here, is being built (présent continu passif) signifie « est en train d'être construit ». On ne dit pas qui construit, car l'information importante est le pont lui-même.
